Vietnamese American Hue Association of Florida
Vietnamese American Hue Association of Florida
Welcome to the Vietnamese American Hue Association of Florida, a organization dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Hue — the historic capital of Vietnam — within the Vietnamese American community of Florida.
Rooted in the traditions of kindness, unity, and education, our Association serves as a cultural bridge between generations and across communities, ensuring that the beauty of Hue’s heritage continues to thrive in the hearts of Vietnamese Americans and our friends throughout the United States.
Our Mission
To preserve the cultural identity and traditions of Hue, strengthen the Vietnamese American community through education and service, and promote mutual understanding between Vietnamese and American cultures.
We are committed to fostering cultural pride, community engagement, and social responsibility through events, language programs, and humanitarian outreach.
WHO WE ARE
The Vietnamese American Hue Association of Florida (VAHAF) was established by Vietnamese Americans from Hue and Central Vietnam who settled in the United States, united by a shared love for their homeland and a desire to give back to their adopted country.
Under the leadership of Cindy Nguyen H, our association operates from Orlando, Florida — serving families, students, and seniors through programs that connect cultural roots with modern community life.
Although our annual gross receipts remain under $50,000, our organization’s impact reaches far beyond numbers — through the dedication of volunteers, donors, and friends who believe in the power of culture and compassion.
WHAT WE DO
We organize and support a wide range of cultural, educational, and charitable initiatives:
Cultural Events & Festivals – Annual Tết (Lunar New Year) celebrations, Mid-Autumn Festival (Tết Trung Thu), and traditional art showcases highlighting Hue’s heritage.
Youth & Education Programs – Vietnamese language classes, history workshops, and scholarship opportunities for Vietnamese American students.
Community Engagement – Partnerships with local organizations, temples, and civic groups to promote unity and civic responsibility.
Charitable Outreach – Humanitarian aid for families in need, both in Florida and in Vietnam, reflecting the spirit of compassion central to Hue’s culture.
